Rice is being cleaned, steamed at a high degree and is blended with the other ingredient Tapioca Starch. Here’re 5 steps of Rice Straws Processing

Step 1: Gather Ingredients

 

First, to get the procedure started, flour makers need to rinse the rice to chase off all the impurities covering on the outside of each grain. After that, this all rice would be ground with the help of a grinder mixed with water to make rice flour, with 500 gram of Rice flour (may produce 85 straws per bag).

The other ingredients are Tapioca Starch and the color of Rice straws. Natural color is made from vegetable and fruit, likely White (Rice), Orange (Carrot), Green (Amaranth Spinach), Purple (Beetroot) and Grey (Sea-same Seeds), etc.

Step 2: Mixed Rice flour

After prepared all ingredients needed, rice flour will be added to the mixer machine and be constantly beaten with water till smooth. All well-beaten will be put on the tray to prepare for the next steaming step as the above pictures.

Step 3: Steaming

Workers pour all well-mixed flour onto the steaming machine and wait for it until steamed well.
Then, the final steamed rice flour after being collected will be put into a granulating machine to prevent breakage, brittle and reinforce durability.

Step 4: Create the shape of straws

In the next step, create the shape for Rice flour straws through the pipe tractor. This machine will form straws of about 3-4m long, after that the workers will cut the straws into pieces then put them back into the hanging rig for sorting out & cutting again (Normal drying time is from 6 to 12 hour).

Workers will straighten each rice straw. The straws are dried and inserted into a cutter into several short sections measuring 8.8 “long, 0.25” diameter.

Step 5: Package

Workers classify, checking quality and package products. On average, 1kg of rice flour produces 50-100 straws, depending on the size. The final Rice straws after being collected would be shipped over to the restaurant or business services to serve our daily use.

Instruction for preserving Rice straws

Time used in water and other liquids at the normal temperature of rice straws is more than 1 hour 30 minutes.

You only need to store rice straws in a cool, dry place to avoid insects invading. The shelf life of the product 3 years from the date of manufacture printed on the package.
